Desiccated coconut (DC) is the product that is obtained by drying the shredded white meat of the fully mature coconut kernel. Desiccated Coconut Powder is a free-flowing white powder made from pasteurized, homogenized and spray dried natural extract of coconut kernel. We provide the Desiccated Coconut Powder in desired quantities as per customer requirements and availed at competitive prices. Desiccated coconut is consumed globally in the preparation of bakery, confectionery and other food products. Our desiccated coconut is made from carefully selected coconuts of the finest quality from Sukabumi, West Java, Indonesia. Our product has a clean white color free from impurities and has a naturally pleasant coconut taste and aroma.



Manufacturing Process
Our desiccated coconut is uniformly well dried, has a pleasant coconut taste and aroma, and features a clean white color free from color or material impurities. We strictly follow internationally accepted food safety standards during our manufacturing process as well as during storage and delivery of our product.
We produce high fat and low fat desiccated coconut. Low fat desiccated coconut is by product of coconut milk or coconut cream powder manufacturing process, and High fat dessicated coconut is produced as this following process :
- Removal of coconut husk,
- Removal of coconut shell,
- Removal of thick brown coconut skin,
- Washing of white coconut meat to remove foreign material,
- Blanching of white coconut meat to reduce the number of microorganism to the safe level fit for human consumption within its shelf life,
- Cutting of white coconut meat into the desired size,
- Hot air blow drying the grated white coconut meat to reduce the moisture content from 19% to less than 3%,
- Cooling of desiccated coconut,
- Sieving of desiccated coconut to separate desiccated coconut as according to the desired size,
- Finally, packing of desiccated coconut.
Dessicated Coconuts are graded by its cutting size, for example, fine grade and medium grade where fine grade has smaller particle size than the medium grade has. One thousand nuts are expected to yield about 130kg of Desiccated Coconut. Production of Desiccated Coconut is a real hard work as the removal of coconut husk, shell and skin are done manually or given the best of current technology are done semi-automatically.
The Difference between High Fat & Low Fat DC
- High Fat Desiccated Coconut (HFDC):
– Made of mature coconut meat, shredded and dried under low temperature.
– Coconut oil content is more than 60%.
– High fiber and high fat.
– Can be used to make fresh liquid coconut milk.
– Can be pressed to extract virgin coconut oil.
– Strong coconut aroma and taste.
- Low Fat Desiccated Coconut (LFDC):
– Made of residual coconut meat after coconut milk extraction and dried
– Coconut oil content is less than 10%.
– High fiber and low fat.
– Cannot be used to make fresh liquid coconut milk.
– Cannot be pressed to extract coconut oil.
– Only a hint of coconut aroma and taste.
